Poker (hold'em) position?
In Hold'em Poker (and any other poker game that has a blind, the first betting position are called early position, the final positions that bet last. In Hold'em, the first round of betting (pre-flop) in small blind bets second lowest. After the flop, the small blind. Is this considered an early position, late position, or both?
Blinds often considered separately from the early / mid / late position because these designations are generally used in part to determine whether or not to bet to see a flop … because the blinds and have some money, the criteria for them is significantly reduced, especially when other positions are limping. However, if they try to determine whether to call or raise in a given situation and the blinds are not specifically mentioned in a strategy guide, the blinds before the flop would the last position, the principled position postflop.
